Brenda Gayle Vosler Petrella, 43, of Ohioville, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008; she is now free of pain and suffering after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born September 18, 1964, she was the daughter of Donna Jean Vosler of South Beaver Township, and the late Gale C. Vosler. In addition to her mother, Donna, Brenda is survived by her husband James S. Petrella whom she married in 1998; a son, Andrew who is five years old, and her two brothers, Kevin C. Vosler and Christopher B. Vosler and his wife Marsha Vosler. After she earned her Nurse Practitioner's License in 1997, she was the nurse practitioner at Tri State Surgery, in Bridgewater, and then returned to Emergency Medicine. She was also an associate instructor for the Center for Emergency Medicine and a member of The National Disaster Team. Many people will also remember Brenda for her work with Therapeutic Riding for the Handicapped, where she founded Windwalker Farm in 1990, and was a certified hypo therapist and a member of the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association. Even her last summer, ill from chemo, Brenda offered Windwalker Therapeutic Horse Back Riding for the handicapped where she was present and helped. Brenda worked hard, and was a success in life and career. She was a cheerful, loving woman, who was loved and will be greatly missed. --Brother
